Tartu Lotte Kindergarten Receives the Green Flag Award Once Again We wish all children a joyful and sunny International Children's Day! We are also delighted to share the good news that this spring, Tartu Lotte Kindergarten once again received the prestigious Green Flag Award from the international environmental education programme Eco-Schools. The Green Flag is a symbol of our kindergarten’s commitment to sustainable development, environmental awareness, and the active involvement of children, teachers, and families in nature-friendly activities. This recognition confirms that together we are moving towards a greener and more sustainable future. We would like to thank all children, staff members, and parents who have contributed to developing environmentally friendly habits and supporting the implementation of our Eco-Schools activities. In cooperation with the Eco-Schools programme in Estonia, we invite all families to take part in the exciting summer campaign “Get to Know a Pollinator 2026”. Graduation Parties on 27 and 17 June 2026 At the end of May, our kindergarten will hold graduation celebrations for children beginning their school journey. On 27 May the children from the group Paid Pähklijänesed - who will start school in autumn - will celebrate their graduation. On 17 June a formal graduation ceremony will take place for the group Usinad Sajajalgsed.
Together, we will celebrate the end of a wonderful kindergarten journey and the beginning of an exciting new chapter at school. We wish all graduates joy, confidence, and many wonderful achievements in the future! |
Tartu Lotte Kindergarten is Closed in July! In July 2026, Tartu Lotte Kindergarten will be closed. During this period, our children will attend Tartu Klaabumaa Kindergarten. |
New kindergarten house rules At the Board of Trustees meeting held on 13 April 2026, the kindergarten’s new house rules were approved. The document was officially confirmed on 6 May by the director’s directive No. 7. The new house rules can be viewed in Estonian by clicking the button below. |
Daily Meal Cost from 1 September 2026 Starting from 1 September 2026, the daily meal cost in municipal kindergartens in the city of Tartu will be €2.70, of which breakfast costs €0.59, lunch €1.43, and afternoon snack €0.68. |
New National Framework for Early Childhood Education On 1 September 2025, the new national framework for early childhood education came into force in Estonia. The framework supports children’s holistic development, playful learning, and cooperation between the home and the kindergarten. It emphasises taking each child’s individuality into account and creating a safe and developmentally supportive environment. |
