House Rules

The kindergarten’s house rules, approved at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Tartu Lotte Kindergarten on 13 April 2026, were confirmed by the headmaster´s directive No. 7 on 6 May 2026.

House Rules in Kindergarten

The house rules of Tartu Lotte Kindergarten regulate the kindergarten’s daily organisation and create a safe, caring, and development-supportive environment for children. The house rules are mandatory for children, parents, and kindergarten staff alike.

The kindergarten is open on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Daily activities are organised according to each group’s schedule and duty groups are used when necessary. The kindergarten’s working arrangements may change during the summer period or on public holidays.

Cooperation between parents and the kindergarten is an important part of the kindergarten’s daily operation. Parents have the right to receive information about their child’s development and to participate in kindergarten activities. At the same time, parents are expected to follow the daily schedule, inform the kindergarten of a child’s absence, and personally hand the child over to a group staff member.

• The kindergarten ensures children’s physical and emotional safety, and all forms of violence are prohibited.
• Children showing signs of illness are not permitted to attend kindergarten, and infectious diseases must be reported immediately.
• A child’s day includes learning activities, outdoor time, rest time, and three meals.
• Communication takes place mainly through the ELIIS platform.
• The house rules also regulate clothing, hygiene, toys, and procedures for bringing children to and from kindergarten.
